Dr Mathumitha Karunanithy, known to her patients as Dr Mathu, graduated with Honours from King's College London in 2014. She then completed her Foundation Training in Beckenham, developing a strong foundation in high quality restorative and aesthetic dentistry.

Following graduation, Dr Mathu undertook a year of postgraduate training at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, where she gained extensive experience in surgical tooth extractions and the management of anxious patients, including treatment under sedation.

Known for her calm, friendly and approachable manner, Dr Mathu is committed to helping patients feel relaxed and comfortable throughout their dental journey. She takes time to understand each patient's individual needs and goals, creating personalised treatment plans that prioritise excellent clinical outcomes through minimally invasive techniques.

Dr Mathu has a particular interest in aesthetic dentistry, including composite and porcelain restorations, Invisalign clear aligners and professional tooth whitening. She is passionate about continuing professional development and plans to undertake further postgraduate training in advanced aesthetic dentistry, including 3D smile design.
